Exeter Canoe Club is a well established Canoe England (opens in a new Window) affiliated club based on the historic quayside in Exeter.

We are a large club and are involved in most aspects of canoeing and kayaking. The majority of the club's paddlers participate in recreational paddling.  This includes touring, sea kayaking, white water, surf-kayaking and open boating; either at the club or on club trips.  Marathon and sprint racing are also an important part of the club activities and we can boast a number of past and present international paddlers amongst our ranks. Look at the Disciplines and Club Programme sections for more information.

We have a wide range of boats and other equipment for use by club members stored in our boat house on the quayside. The quay opens onto the River Exe and the Exeter Ship Canal offering a wide range of opportunities for racing, placid water and three weirs for all year round playboating. The Exeter Water Sports Association, consisting of the Exeter Canoe Club, Exeter Rowing Club and Exeter British Sub Aqua Club, has its clubhouse on the same site, which hosts a bar and changing rooms with hot showers.
